Perkkie Terms & Conditions

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Perkkie, you agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Code of Ethics. If you do not agree, you may not use our services.

2. Eligibility

To use Perkkie, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old
• Have legal capacity to enter into contracts
• Provide accurate and truthful information
• Have legitimate employee discounts to share
• Not be prohibited from using our services under applicable law

3. Membership Tiers

Free Membership

• Access to browse available perks
• "Notify Me" alerts (5 brands maximum)
• 1 trial waitlist spot
• No monthly charge

Monthly Pass ($14.99/month)

• Submit 1 discount per month
• Claim 1 perk per month (1:1 exchange)
• "Notify Me" alerts (15 brands)
• 3 active waitlist spots (single month)
• Charged month-to-month, cancel anytime
• No automatic renewal

Membership ($8.99/month)

• Submit 1 discount per month (auto-share option)
• Claim 1 perk per month (1:1 exchange)
• Unlimited "Notify Me" alerts
• 10 active waitlist spots (3-month option)
• Priority access (join waitlists before non-members)
• Recurring monthly subscription
• Cancel anytime

4. The 1:1 Exchange Model

Perkkie operates on a fair exchange system:

• You must give to get: To claim a perk, you must first submit your own employee discount
• One per month: Each user can claim one perk per calendar month
• Monthly reset: Your ability to claim resets on the 1st of each month
• No exceptions: This rule applies to all paid tiers

This ensures fairness and keeps the marketplace balanced for all members.

5. Payment Terms

Monthly Pass: One-time charge of $14.99 per month. Valid for that month only. No automatic renewal. You must purchase again for the following month if desired.

Membership: Recurring charge of $8.99/month. Billed automatically on the same day each month. You authorize us to charge your payment method until you cancel.

Cancellation: You may cancel your Membership subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds for partial months.

Payment Processing: All payments are processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your complete credit card information.

6. Auto-Share Confirmation (Membership Only)

Membership subscribers receive a confirmation 3-5 days before the end of each month asking if they want to auto-share their discount for the upcoming month. You must respond YES by the deadline to participate. If you don't respond or respond NO, you will not be able to claim a perk that month. You will still be charged your monthly subscription fee.

7. Waitlist & "Notify Me" System

Waitlists: Queue positions are determined by join time (first-come, first-served). When notified, you have 4 hours to claim the perk. If you don't claim within 4 hours, the perk goes to the next person in line.

"Notify Me": Alerts are sent when perks become available. It's a race—first to claim wins. No guaranteed position.

Removal from waitlists: If you claim a perk, you're automatically removed from all other waitlists for that month. Waitlists reset on the 1st of each month.

8. Member Connections

For discounts that require personal connection (in-person, employee portal access, etc.), Perkkie will facilitate an email introduction between you and the member whose discount you claimed. You agree to communicate respectfully and work together to facilitate the discount use. Both parties must respond promptly and cooperatively.

9. Discount Verification

We reserve the right to verify:

• Your employment status
• The legitimacy of your discount
• Discount codes (random checks)
• Any information you provide

Failure to verify or providing false information may result in account suspension or termination.

10. Prohibited Conduct

You may not:

• Share discounts you're not legally authorized to share
• Create multiple accounts
• Game the waitlist system
• Harass or abuse other members
• Provide false or misleading information
• Attempt to circumvent our 1:1 exchange system
• Resell or commercialize discounts
• Use automated tools to interact with the platform

11. Account Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for:

• Violation of these Terms
• Violation of our Code of Ethics
• Fraudulent activity
• Failure to pay subscription fees
• Any conduct we deem harmful to the community

You may cancel your account at any time through your profile settings or by contacting support@perkkie.com.

12. No Warranties

Perkkie is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee:

• Availability of specific discounts
• That discounts will work as described
• That member-submitted information is accurate
• Uninterrupted or error-free service
• That you will successfully claim any particular perk

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Perkkie Inc. and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our services. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the past 12 months.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Perkkie Inc. from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any law or third-party rights
• Discounts you submit or use
• Your interactions with other members

15. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email or prominent notice on our website. Your continued use of Perkkie after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

16. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of California.
